WTF?!

All 'Bad, meet Evil...' tees are designed and produced by Melbourne based street artist and illustrator, J.R.F. His unhealthy obsession with perfection, a vicious passion for drawing, and a hemorrhaging bank account have led to the creation of his ill conceived love child- 'Bad, meet Evil...'

Armed with a pencil, paper and the passion to bring creativity, authenticity and intrigue back into the street- wear scene, J.R.F actually draws all of the designs for BME tees, and gains inspiration from 'what's really real'... not from fake smiles and designer shades...

Heavily influenced by the underground hip-hop and street art scene, the artist is stimulated by the authentic cultural expression of life and all of its frivolities; the label has little respect for those multi- million dollar fashion houses who fabricate a 'commercial street-life' to mask their lack of creativity and inability to think outside the square.

Bad, meet Evil... produces only limited edition, premium quality tees, and focuses ferociously on ensuring that its designs are unique, fascinating and provoke a healthy level of jealousy in those who don't own one yet...

The label was born in early 2011, and has exploded exponentially in just it's first year of operation. In fact, what was to be a side project has become a full-time job for the artist. BME was honoured to work very closely with two of Australia's most recogniseable hip-hop artists, 360 and Forbes, in illustrating, designing and producing both of their merchandise, while J.R.F was also commissioned to illustrate tattoo designs for both 360 and Fozzey (Fozzey & Van C). An exciting collaboration project between Melbourne based artist 'Malicious' and BME saw the creation of a highly limited edition T-Shirt in December of 2011, and paved the way for a number of other artist collaboration projects in the coming year. All in all, 10 different T-Shirts were released sporadically over the course of the year, 2 of which can't be found on the online store due to their 'questionable' nature. Rest assured they were best sellers.

The label was also featured in one of Australia's largest ever street wear exhibitions, 'NEXT' at the Outpost Project on Cockatoo Island (Sydney), which saw BME tees rubbing shoulders with some of the biggest names in the industry.

2012 is set to challenge J.R.F to new levels. Collaboration projects with other Australian artists are already in the works, and the illustrator has promised himself to put his 2011 collection to shame, embracing a level of creativity never before seen in the Australian street wear scene.

If 2012 really does bring the end of the world, J.R.F won't mind. He's spent the last year of his life chasing a dream. A feeling that money can't buy.

Suffice to say, he's never been happier.
